PREK-12 STUDENT FIELD TRIP REQUEST FORM

We look forward to welcoming your PreK-12 school group to the Museum from January to June 2024 at 10:00 AM, 10:30 AM, 11:00 AM, and 11:30 AM for a 75-minute self-guided experience curated by the IAAM Education Staff. Please note that submitting a PreK-12 Student Field Trip Request Form does not guarantee field trip availability. Once the form is submitted, a representative from the Education Department will contact you via email to coordinate your visit. Thank you for your support of the International African American Museum, and we look forward to welcoming your students soon!

If you are a Charleston County School District teacher for 4th, 8th, or 11th grade, please do not complete this form. Click here for assistance with coordinating your student field trip.

Group Type/Size

Please specify what grade level(s) you are interested in bringing to the Museum, as well as the number of students/chaperones that will be attending. No more than 40 students are permitted per entry time. Entry times are 10:00AM, 10:30AM, 11:00AM, and 11:30AM, Tuesday-Thursday. Schools may request more than one entry time on the same day. Please note that the school must assign one adult per every ten students, providing a 1:10 chaperone to student ratio.

Student field trips are offered at 10:00 AM, 10:30 AM, 11:00 AM, and 11:30 AM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Groups should arrive 30 minutes before their reserved entry time. Field trip visits include a 75-minute self-guided experience curated by the IAAM Education Staff. Please note that requested student field trip dates and times are not guaranteed upon submission of your request form.
