Awakening of the Ancestors Through Music at Mount Moriah Baptist Church North Charleston, SC March 19, 2022

This provided music and education of Lowcountry spirituals/negro spirituals, and Lowcountry funeral songs. These are the inspiring, and uplifting songs of Zion that gave our great, great, great, great grandparents, aunts, uncles and other relatives hope. This program provided opportunities for educational learning about ancestral musical history, its styles, meaning and purpose. Attendees were able to participate and engage in dialogue throughout the program.
