A Kwanzaa Celebration | Storytelling

  • Program

The holiday of Kwanzaa was created to highlight the many connections between African culture and the broader African American identity. So, every year in line with the South African harvest, Kwanzaa celebrates community, family, and the self as all these aspects work toward fulfilling the seven principles. Join IAAM December 26 – 29 for storytelling sessions led by experienced storyteller Julian Gooding centered on fostering a love for storytelling to promote the wide span education of their home, local, national, and global communities.

No registration required; program attendance is included with ticket admission.
