18th Century Schools for the Free and the Enslaved Webinar

We will be discussing several 18th century schools that were for free and enslaved Black children in the United States. Nicole Brown will be going over where these schools were located, who funded and taught at the schools, and how Black students’ ideas clashed the institutions that funded their education. Tonia Merideth will also be sharing her personal genealogical research as being a direct descendant of the families that sent there enslaved children to the William Bray School.
