2020 is the year to talk about the vote!
Please join the International African American Museum and History Matters Institute for an informative community event, illuminating how communities of color have historically been impacted by voting disenfranchisement.
This engaging event features a panel led by Cleo Scott Brown, a national civil rights activist, researcher, and speaker, as well as local community advocates: Barbara Zia, League of Women Voters, Dot Scott, President, Charleston Branch of the NAACP, Attorney Donna McQueen, and KJ Kearney, Regional Field Director, Conservation Voters of South Carolina.
The esteemed panelists will engage the audience in discussions about historical and existing disenfranchisement and share ways community members can gain and maintain their voting agency.
The audience is also encouraged to participate in a fun and interactive Q&A session with featured panelists.
