Angel C. Pendergrass

Angel C. Pendergrass is an accomplished accounting and financial strategist who has partnered with government and nonprofit entities for well over 25 years. After spending nearly two decades working for the City of Charlotte Area Transit System as an Accountant II and the Parks and Recreation industry as a CPRP certified Finance Director for Greenville County Parks, Recreation and Tourism, Angel knows finance and how to engage conversations around major capital projects, procurement, and nonprofit accounting standards. We are excited to welcome her to the International African American Museum as its first Accounting Manager.
Since relocating to the Charleston Area, Angel is a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church and the Charleston Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. as a Diamond Life member. Having recently moved from Greenville, SC she still serves as treasurer for LiveWell Greenville’s leadership board, the Jobs to Careers Chair for the United Way of the Upstate, and the Greenville Chapter of the Links, Incorporated. In her educational and professional life, Angel holds double bachelor’s degrees in History and Economics (Honors) from North Carolina Central University and later earned a master’s degree in Business Administration (Honors) with a focus in Organizational Management from Cambridge University. She holds certifications in Government Finance from the University of Chapel Hill and the University of South Carolina.
