Level Up Your Membership

Our Museum Circle is a dedicated group of diverse individuals who support the International African American Museum at a level that propels the organization forward.

Supporter’s Circle : $500

Includes all Friend of the Museum benefits, PLUS:

  • Invitation to annual Museum Circle-only reception
  • Exclusive updates and important museum news from IAAM leadership

Within the limits prescribed by law, $340 is not tax-deductible

Advocate’s Circle : $1,000

Includes all prior level benefits, PLUS:

  • Invitation to annual exclusive virtual Coffee with a Curator
  • Priority registration invitation to exhibition opening receptions
  • Recognition in the IAAM Annual Report

Patron’s Circle : $2,500

Includes all prior level benefits, PLUS:

  • Supports our family community initiative, providing museum access to families in need across the Lowcountry

  • Intimate exhibition viewings with expert museum staff

  • Priority access to purchase Gala tickets
  • Invitation to annual luncheon with IAAM President & CEO

Donate to Join

Tax Information About Your Membership Dues

Memberships at the Friend of the Museum and lower are not tax deductible. In accordance with IRS regulations, membership dues payments to the Museum Circle are tax deductible, minus the fair market value of the benefits you receive. See below for amounts that are not tax deductible by level. Additional gifts over and above dues are 100% tax deductible.

  • Supporter’s Circle: $340 is not tax-deductible
  • Advocate’s Circle: $340 is not tax-deductible
  • Patron’s Circle: $340 is not tax-deductible
  • Champion’s Circle: $429 is not tax-deductible
  • President’s Circle: $469 is not tax-deductible
