Today, we mourn the loss of David Dinkins, the first and only African American mayor of New York City.
Mr. Dinkins served on the International African American Museum’s National Advisory Board, and we are eternally grateful for the support he provided. His lifelong commitment to public service and to improving race relations will continue to inspire our mission to honor the African American journey.
