The marriage certificate above was gleaned from the USCT pension file of Able Caulder, who served in Company D, 34th United States Colored Troops (USCT). Able Caulder and Hannah Troop were married at the 1st African Baptist Church in Beaufort, South Carolina on January 9, 1867, by The Reverend A. Waddell.
We are currently preparing Able Caulder’s pension file for publication.
