Dive into Kinfolkology – a digital archive, collaborative database collective, and living memorial honoring the humanity and kinships of enslaved people.

Kinfolkology recognizes that descendants of enslaved people face unique genealogical research challenges. Archive records fragmented by intention and neglect is chief among those challenges. The organization scales the walls of digital silos to find meaning and community in record-linking, story-seeking, and family-finding.

The panelists will discuss the importance of Kinfolkology’s key initiatives: Data & Archival Defragmentation and Descendant Engagement.
