Harvey, Jane, Obituary, 1897, Raleigh, NC Gazette

We are also pained to note the death of Mrs. Jane Harvey, which sad event occurred on last Wednesday night. She was a devoted Christian lady and loved by all who knew her. We extend our condolence to the bereaved husband and son, and say 

There, in the shepherd’s bosom, 

White as the drifted snow, 

Is the mother we missed this morning, 

From the household flock below.
