Antebellum church registers for South Carolina can be a treasure trove of birth, marriage and death information for enslaved ancestors and Freedmen for the period before vital records were recorded in South Carolina.
This microfilm contains printouts of abstracts from several church registers. The register of the Independent Congregational Church, Stoney Creek, Beaufort, South Carolina is the fifth item on the microfilm and begins on frame 328.
